Solarcore Energy Limited (RC: 9587604) is a solar energy company registered in Nigeria, providing solar energy systems design, supply, installation, and maintenance services. Our registered office is at 5, Ifaki-Ekiti Street, Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Solar Sizing Configurator

When you use our solar configurator, we collect: full name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address, property installation address, property location, property type, appliance load data (appliances selected, quantities, daily hours, weekly days), and backup autonomy preference.

2.2 Contact Form

When you submit a contact form enquiry, we collect: full name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address (optional), enquiry type, property location, and your message.

2.3 WhatsApp Communication

If you contact us through WhatsApp, we collect your name, phone number, and message content as transmitted through the WhatsApp platform.

2.4 Website Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data — browser type, device type, pages visited, time on page, and approximate location (country/state level only). This data does not identify you individually.

2.5 What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect: payment card or bank details, government ID numbers (NIN, BVN, passport), biometric data, health data, or precise GPS location.

3. How and Why We Use Your Data

• Configurator submissions: to prepare your solar system design and connect you with our engineering and sales teams.
• Contact form enquiries: to respond to your questions and provide relevant service information.
• Email notifications: to send your project reference and design acknowledgement.
• Website analytics: to improve the website and user experience (anonymised data only).
• Legal obligations: to comply with applicable Nigerian law when required.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Configurator submissions: 3 years from submission date.
• Contact form enquiries: 3 years from submission date.
• Email correspondence: 3 years from last communication.
• Website analytics: 14 months (Google Analytics default).

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with: our internal project and sales teams; Vercel (website hosting); Resend (transactional email); Google (anonymised analytics); and Meta/WhatsApp (if you contact us via WhatsApp). All processors are contractually bound to protect your data.

We may disclose data to legal or regulatory authorities if required by Nigerian law.

6. Your Rights Under the NDPA 2023

You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, receive your data in portable format, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

7. Cookies

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our website is hosted on Vercel with enterprise-grade infrastructure security. Access to submitted data within Solarcore is restricted to authorised team members. We do not store payment card data. No financial transaction data passes through or is stored on our website.

9. Children

Our website is directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. Contact privacy@solarcoreenergy.ng immediately if you believe a child has submitted data to us.

10. Links to Third-Party Websites

Our website contains links to third-party websites, including our social media profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X (Twitter), and the SolarCore Academy subdomain at academy.solarcoreenergy.ng. This Privacy Policy applies only to solarcoreenergy.ng and does not extend to any linked third-party website or platform. Each third-party website operates under its own privacy policy, which may differ significantly from ours.

When you click a link to a third-party website, you leave our website and enter a site we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, cookies, or data handling of any linked external website.
