Structured for Every Level

Three Programmes. One Clear Pathway.

Whether you are starting from zero or refining a decade of experience — there is a SolarCore Academy programme at your level, with a structured path to the next.

BeginnerFoundation

Solar Energy Fundamentals

For complete beginners. Build a genuine understanding of how solar energy works, what every component does, how systems operate together, and how to evaluate any solar proposal intelligently. Includes practical exercises, weekly assessments, and guided peer discussions.

Who this is for

Property owners, business owners, entrepreneurs, students, career changers, and anyone entering the energy sector without a prior technical background.

Duration4 weeks

Module Overview

Week 1 — Electricity & Energy Fundamentals (AC/DC, watts, volts, amps, the Nigerian energy crisis)

Week 2 — Solar Components (panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers — what each does and why)

Week 3 — How Systems Work Together (hybrid operation, battery cycling, grid and generator interaction)

Week 4 — Buying Solar Intelligently (evaluating proposals, red flags, questions to ask, practical assessment)

IntermediateTechnical

Solar System Design & Installation

Become a competent solar system designer and installer. Eight weeks of structured engineering training covering load analysis, string design, MPPT calculation, battery sizing, cable sizing, earthing, inverter commissioning, and full project documentation — with practical design exercises and a supervised installation session.

Who this is for

Electricians, technicians, engineers transitioning to solar, installers seeking professional-grade qualification, and Foundation programme graduates.

Duration8 weeks

Module Overview

Weeks 1–2 — Load Analysis & Energy Auditing (appliance profiling, demand calculation, documentation)

Weeks 3–4 — Solar Array & String Design (panel spec, Voc/Vmp, MPPT compatibility, string voltage calculation)

Weeks 5–6 — Battery Systems & Inverter Configuration (all chemistries, BMS, commissioning, priority settings)

Weeks 7–8 — Installation Standards & Supervised Practical (cable sizing, earthing, protection, live commissioning)

AdvancedProfessional

Solar Engineering & Business Mastery

A comprehensive 12-week professional development programme covering advanced system architectures, commercial and industrial design, remote monitoring, project management, regulatory compliance, solar business development, and a supervised live project. Graduates receive SolarCore Professional Certification.

Who this is for

Working solar engineers, senior technicians, project managers, business owners running solar operations, and Technical programme graduates seeking full professional qualification.

Duration12 weeks

Module Overview

Weeks 1–3 — Advanced Architectures (high-voltage systems, multi-MPPT, three-phase, complex configurations)

Weeks 4–6 — Commercial & Industrial Design (large-scale sizing, EPC documentation, compliance)

Weeks 7–9 — Remote Monitoring, SCADA, Project Management & Compliance

Beyond the Classroom

Internship, Apprenticeship & Mentorship

Classroom learning is only part of the picture. SolarCore Academy embeds graduates into real projects through structured practical programmes — because the solar industry is built on what you can actually do, not just what you know.

Structured Internship

Paid and unpaid internship placements within Solarcore Energy Limited's active projects. Interns work alongside our engineering team on real client installations — site assessment, design documentation, installation, and commissioning.

Open to Foundation and Technical programme graduates.

Apprenticeship Programme

A structured 6–12 month apprenticeship where participants work under a certified Solarcore engineer on live projects, progressing through defined competency milestones to full professional qualification.

Stipend-supported. Limited cohort intake per cycle.

Mentorship Track

One-on-one mentorship from Joseph Olubato and senior Solarcore engineers — covering career development, business building, technical mastery, and the engineering mindset required to operate at international standards.

Available to Professional programme graduates and high-performing apprentices.

Alumni & Professional Network

SolarCore Academy graduates join a professional network connected across Nigeria, West Africa, and the diaspora. Alumni receive referral opportunities, continued learning resources, and invitations to collaborative projects.

Lifetime membership for all programme graduates.

Our Standard

Silicon Valley Values. African Ambition. Nigerian Roots.

SolarCore Academy is not another certificate mill. We are building the professional infrastructure that the Nigerian and African energy transition actually needs — engineers who think rigorously, work systematically, and build careers that compound over decades. Every programme, every internship, every mentorship session is measured against one benchmark: would this meet the standard of the world's best engineering organisations?
